The Arts & Cultural Council of Rochester had a problem – one we'd all like to have. The Democrat and Chronicle gave them a quarter million dollars in full page 4-color ad space to promote culture in the area. And everyone's first thoughts were to run pretty ads and remind people to support the arts. Of course, we knew the lasting effect of these ads would be about 10 minutes afer the money dried up. So Frontline burned the midnight oil.

We invented the A&CCESS Card...a free discount card good at area galleries, theaters, music events, and craft stores. Our ads brought in thousands of cardholders. And the program generated new cooperation throughout the entire Rochester arts community. So what started as some artsy ads developed into a whole promotion...that brings savings to an art.
